At the ski school of Skicentrum Heemskerk children from the age of 4 can learn the basics of skiing on our two modern indoor runs. The ski lessons are divided according to age and level:
At the Pinguïns children from 4 to 6 years old learn the basics of skiing in a playful way. Every ski lesson the children can get a sticker on their sticker card! This is ideal if your child has never skied before, is still very young or is not yet ready for the regular lessons. The lessons are given on Wednesday or Sunday in fixed blocks of six weeks in fixed groups. One lesson lasts 30 minutes.
Regular ski lessons are for children from 6 years of age. Lessons are given in a playful manner, adapted to the target group. At the first lesson it should be possible to control the speed in a 'pizza point'. During the lessons we try to get the children as fast as possible to 'parallel'.
A ski lesson lasts 60 minutes. During a regular lesson three children are taught simultaneously. One child stands on the track for 10 minutes after which he can rest for 10 minutes. It is also possible to have lessons with two children or even total attention during a private lesson. Children's ski lessons are given on all days of the week. All lessons can be flexibly planned.
Do you want to make skiing your sport or make the most of your winter sports preparation? Then perhaps skiing in a ski team is for you! The children in the ski teams train once a week at a fixed time with their peers in groups of six to eight children. Specific fitness training is also given. From the age of six it is possible to join a ski team.
This is an independent organisation that functions in an association form for competition skiers. The children of Ski Racing Heemskerk train twice a week this season. Depending on their age and the programme they have taken, they stay in the Alps for 2 to 9 weeks. They ski races on all levels: from regional to national and sometimes even international!
